Student Life

At Rosedale Christian School we encourage the development of each student’s unique abilities. We like to say that we grow students. One way we do this is to complement our rigorous academic program with a wide array of activities that promote social development and community engagement. Our Preschool - Elementary school partner with the Saint Jude Children Hospital in supporting financially finding a cure for cancer. Supplementary, students will find a rich opportunity to pursue active roles in student government, physical education, the arts and a host of extracurricular activities.

In addition to a rigorous core curriculum and couple with a very diverse school community, students are encouraged to take part in all that RCS has to offer. Athletic programs - Fun Friday and physical education, the arts dance, music, choir, Circle of Friends Reading club, community service (partnership with Saint Jude Children Hospital), projects and participation in other activities, complete the RCS experience.

Supporting academic excellence with a well-rounded program, RCS encourages every student to engage in a rich, and diverse student life. From Pre-K to Elementary 8th Grade, our schools support a comprehensive range of academic, extracurricular, sports, field trip, book club and community service.

Students are challenged to reach their potential as they strive toward academic excellence, social consciousness and responsibility within the context of high expectations and consistent standards. Through an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning, students begin to make important connections in their learning and take an active role in the learning process.

At RCS there is truly something for everyone. Extra-curricular programs are integral to learning here. Many RCS students participate in praise dance, school choir and at Christmas time, our annual theatrical production acted out by our own students. Classrooms and hallways are covered with student art and work. RCS students share lunch periods, daily devotion and prayer.

A typical day in the life of a RCS student is anything but typical. The excerpts on the right side of this page, is a profile on the school life of our students. This will give you a sense of what we mean, but in no way does it capture the full array of the lives of our students as they grow and mature through the RCS and RGAP experience. We have replaced names and photos of the students profiled to protect their privacy. We hope you will contact our administration or admission offices to schedule a tour of the school and find out what we’re all about!

Thank you for your interest in RCS (A Day School Experience). We would be delighted to answer any question you may have. Please call us at (718) 978 3997.
