As an educator, it's a pleasure to be able to reach so many people through this virtual environment of the internet. The core of our philosophy is the desire to put students in control of their education and their lives, and to help them realize that both are theirs to create. From our lower school, (RGAP) through to Elementary - (RCS) then on to graduation - in ways small and great, students are asked to confront tough challenges in an environment that is safe enough to fail at times-and also safe enough to succeed. Immediate success is always rewarding, but oftentimes students experience the most growth from confronting an academic or life problem and persisting until that problem is resolved. We never agree that students have to remain adversely affected by tough situations; instead, we help them use the skills they have learned to get back on track. With that approach, students become more and more contributory over their education and lives.

For almost 20 years, our school - (formerly Rosedale Child Development Center) Inc. to be Rosedale Gifted Academy Elementary and Preschool (RGAP), and its now affiliate - Rosedale Christian School, have helped young lives not only to experience a high level of classroom learning, but also to gain perspective from role modeling adults who have their own values sorted out, to communicate well and who can work with others to a common end. These hallmark features of RCS and RGAP education, have been and will continue to stand our students in good lead over the years to come.

Those of us who labor daily in the educational vineyards think constantly about what sort of world our graduates will enter. As I ponder over issues that faced our young people, I wonder how best we can educate our children to not only cope, but to be productive and happy world citizens. This is the passion and desire that drove me to start our lower school - RGAP and since that time, I have worked passionately to see our students rise to become the best they can be. My effort continues even up to this day. I want to give more, I want to do more and I can do more for our young generation, to see them be their best as they take their places in the world.

It is imperative that we as parents and educators give our students and children a strong value base education, an ability to make wise and considered decisions, the information and skills to communicate those decisions, and the understanding and ability to work in a collaborative way with others. RCS is that school, it provides a challenging, classically-based education for boys and girls from Kindergarten 5 through to Elementary, Grade one - eight, and inclusive of our lower division - RGAP which offers pre-school education. With a great sense of pride we emphasize that our past students have moved on to top middle and high-schools nationally, and also excelling academically regional and nationally. This is a confirmation of our tireless work in education and our fantastic faculty and programs which drive high academic achivement and great success. Our students and parents enjoy the marvelous cultural benefits of our diversify school community. These outstanding traits are engraved deeply in the community of our schools life as our students develop into incredible young leaders of character and thought. Yet it is most thrilling to know that these schools exist solely because of, and for, the glory of our God. Above all, RCS (Rosedale Christian School) and our preschool RGAP, are communities of faith and prayer. Even though we do not teach doctrines or indoctrinate our students, we do uphold Godly values. It is our mission first and foremost to ensure that every student who engages at our schools, will come to a deeper knowledge of God, and is prepared for a life of service in Him. I am confident that the students that graduate from RCS (Rosedale Christian School) and our pre-school, RGAP will experience great opportunities because they have been well-prepared for the challenges that they may face in high school and college.
