Q & A
Q.
Will there be any openings in the grade to which my child is applying?
A.
Pre-kindergarten will have 28 new openings and kindergarten will have at least
36 new openings. Elementary currently has 30 new openings.
The number of new openings is determined and will depend upon the number of children who are moving up to higher classes; e.g. moving up of Pre-Ks to Kindergarten classes. Example: the moving up of Kindergarten I to Kindergarten II, etc. Other factors to be considered are graduation of students who are moving on to higher learning institutions, e.g.: moving on to high schools.
Q.
Do siblings and children of alumni have preference?
A. While our current families
and alumni are very important to our schoolcommunity, our schools operate on a
first come first serve basis. The preference for siblings, etc. does not lie in
their given first preference but instead their preference is based on monetary
fees. Siblings usually get a discount.
Q. At
what age level do you begin?
A. A child must be two years old by September
1 of the year he/she would begin pre-kindergarten I at Rosedale Gifted Academy

goes from ages 4 - 12. However, our students are not moved or placed by their
ages but instead according to the academic abilities. All students are tested
before they can be placed in any of our classes.
Q.
Do you have a waitpool (waiting list)?
A. Yes. All students in the waitpool
have gone through the application process and are now awaiting placement for the
new school year. We also have a waiting list. The waitpool and waiting list are
not carry over from year to year. A student's placement in the waitpool is one
year does not influence admission decisions for any following year in which the
student reapplies to Rosedale Christian Schools. The waitpool is disbanded after
the second week of the school year of the following year (after one year) and
the admission process begins again. The waitingpool is a first come first serve
