The mission of the library program at Rosedale Gifted Academy (Elementary And Preschool) (our lower division - PreK-Kindergarten) and Rosedale Christian Gifted School (our upper division, K-Elementary), is to ensure that the members of our learning community, which includes students, teachers, and staff are effective users of ideas and information. By teaching the concepts and skills of information literacy, and by engaging individuals in active, creative thinking and problem solving, our school library stands as a tower of our academic milestone. The library program works to nurture lifelong and independent learning. As the amount of information available continues to grow, a strong school library program is essential to help its users acquire the skills they will need to use information competently and contribute to the well-being of the school community; our library serves this purpose. The library at RGAP (lower division) and RCGS-RCS (upper division) serves as the hub of a culture of learning that is vital to student achievement. We are proud to present our significant library service.

CIRCLE OF FRIENDS
READING CLUB
Mondays
- Fridays, either early
morning or right after afternoon snacks in the PM, our upper division students
are encouraged to quietly read for half hour while our lower division students
are allowed to listen to lively and interesting stories
via headset and CD recording .
Our
school also boasts its Circle of Friends Reading Club. Here, students read four
books per month and share through discussion with their circle of friends and
class teachers what they've learned from these books. At year end, a grand prizes
are given to the students who have read the most books and who can write four
essays on four books they have read. Students will be judged on style, neatness,
clarity, cohesiveness, grammar, vocab, spelling, penmanship and presentation.
We are looking for students to join our Circle of Friends Reading Club. Please
