Our Mission Statement

To graduate students who are knowledgeable in righteousness and who are academically prepared to continue their education, ready to take on the future and become the well-rounded citizens of tomorrow. It is to educate and challenge young lives academically, spiritually, and socially in a caring and supportive environment. To prepare students to be life-long learners and contributors who are committed to a just society. More broadly, our mission is to help build a better world by sending forth responsible, capable individuals and by showcasing a breakthrough approach to teaching and learning.

Hard Work... Great Rewards...
Focus And Concentration

Our primary mission is to educate.

The unusually small classes stimulate honest discussion, allow for individual attention, create an intimate learning community, and foster the pursuit of truth and learning.

The academic program is rigorous and flexible. Our entire curriculum is centered on meeting the needs of the individual student. However, the faculty is both demanding and caring at the same time and provides each student with the structure and support s/he needs to develop as a thinker. The faculty is devoted to ensuring the success of each student in this intellectually challenging environment. That's the secret of our success. No wonder we are outstanding in our goals to teach and learn and to become great achievers.

Welcome

The RGAP And RCS Story

RCS' Early Childhood Program through to Kindergarten and Elementary, Grade 1-8 is founded on a strong philosophy that follows directly from our school mission and supports youngest learners through to our advanced learners. We observe and maintain a very strong diverse school community and every student matters and is highly recognized.

We usually start at the Preschool, (KII age 2), Kindergarten and then Elementary, first grade to grade eight. All programs maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 8 to 1, and our exceptional teachers have depth of experience and training with pre-elementary aged children. We follow the ABeka, Bob Jones University and McGraw Hill curriculum. Supplementary, we observe the NYS Board of Edu curriculum closedly to ensure our momentum and above.

Our schools are high achievement academically, and our emphasis is on academic. Supplementary to hard work academically, our students enjoy a wholesome education ranging from The Arts, swimming, music - sheet music, instrumental (string, wing and board), dances, choir, and our outstanding Fun Fridays of extensive Physical Education.

Elementary students participate in the annual State Administered ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies exams. In 2010 we had a 100% passes in these exams! We are known for our academic stride and our names are synonymous with being the 'high achievers' schools. A 98% of our past students obtained recognition for their outstanding achievements and obtained scholarships to some of the most prestigious middle schools, high schools and collages - both locally and internationally.

Choosing a good school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will ever make, and choosing RCS or RGAP is one of the best investment you will ever make as it pertains to choosing good schools for your child.

The Rosedale Christian School - (RCS) as we have come to be known, is our upper division, Kindergarten through to Elementary, Grade 1-8; and the lower division The Rosedale Gifted Academy And Preschool RGAP,(Preschool-Kindergarten) have been in operation almost twenty years. What started in 1996 is still going strong because we believe that every great journey has a great beginning and this accurately describe our schools.

From its founding to present, our school sought to live out its vision, a vision expressed by its founder. That vision is to provide the best possible education for young people. The vision translates as the pilot for our lower division and also for our upper division.

Our school which started out under the corporation name, Rosedale Child Development Center has been a of member of the Rosedale community since 1996. Since that time, we have incorporated and moved to a larger facility where we changed our name to Rosedale Gifted Academy (Elementary) and Preschool. With this came the great demand for our services and through a large retention of our students, parents implored us to expand our school to include an elementary program. We purchased a larger facility that would allow us to facilitate our two schools. Within a year, we outgrew those spaces and were forced to look around for a second facility to house our elementary program.

We believe that all children are gifted, it is the way that we teach that brings out the gift in all our students.
A 98 percent of our past students have been accepted in gifted programs and have received various recognition such as Principals' Awards for Highest Achievements or obtained scholarships to some of the best Ivy League collages. Recently we were informed of one of our students who attended PS 38 who was awarded an outstanding award and a chance to visit Australia on educational excursion. This proves that we believe in what we do because this is now shown in the ability of our past students. What we did then, today we have surpass those outstanding performance and our students are performing three times above past students success.

Come join us on this journey to great educational heights. With our diverse schools community, our doors are always open to welcome all students.
